63-Year-Old Watertown Man Hit By Truck In Waltham Crosswalk
Bacon Street was closed at Main Street for several hours after a truck hit a pedestrian Wednesday morning.

WALTHAM, MA β A 63-year-old Watertown man is in critical condition in the hospital after he was struck by a dump truck while walking in the crosswalk at the intersection of Bacon and Main Street Wednesday morning, police said.
Police said he is suffering from serious injuries.
Just before 7 a.m. someone called police to report a crash that involved a pedestrian.

When first responders got there, they saw a Peterbilt truck that had been traveling eastbound on Main Street, when it made a left turn onto Bacon Street and made contact with a pedestrian that had stepped into the crosswalk.
Police said the truck driver, a 27-year-old Norton man, is cooperating with the investigation.

Police said they are not releasing any information on charges or cause of the crash at this time, but did say the driver did not appear to be impaired.
The vehicle was operated by a 27-year-old Norton man.
