New Waltham Pizzeria Set To Open In Peter's Greek Kitchen Spot

WALTHAM, MA — There's a new pizza shop coming to Waltham, thanks to the owner of Domenic's Italian Bakery & Deli.

Ciro Maione plans to open Enzina Pizzeria in the space where Peter's Greek Kitchen sat at 1056 Main St for three decades before it closed last year. In June, the Waltham License commission approved the common victual license.

Maione has been busy refurbishing the space, updating the tile, painting and switching out the booths for tables with chairs.

Maione of Domenic's Italian Bakery & Deli just a few blocks away is behind the pizza place. According to Domenic's website the new space will be "coming soon."

"You're a Waltham legend." said the chairman of the licensing commission.

Domenic's Italian Bakery & Deli first opened in 1979.

Maione said when he opened shop he expected to be open from around 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
