New Year's Day 2020 In Waltham: What's Open, Closed

WALTHAM, MA β€” Happy New Year! As you get your resolutions in order and step into the new year, it might be helpful to know what's open and closed. The City of Waltham offices will be closed on Jan. 1 for New Year's Day, but they will be open normal hours on Thursday, Jan. 2. There will be a one-day delay for trash pickup: Wednesday on Thursday, Thursday on Friday and Friday on Saturday.

  • Post Office: Closed
  • Restaurants: Open at owner's discretion
    • Cafe On the Common: Open til 6 NYE, Closed New Years Day
    • In A Pickle: Open NYE 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Open 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. New Years Day
    • Craft Food Hall Project (5th St) Open til 8 p.m. NYE: Closed
    • The Chateau Restaurant: Open til 9 p.m. NYE, Open 12 p.m.- 9 p.m. New Years Day
    • Wilson's Diner: Open NYE. Open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. New Years Day
  • Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion
  • Supermarkets: Open at owner's discretion
    • Brother's Marketplace: Open until 8 p.m. NYE. Open New Years Day 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Liquor stores: Open
  • Banks: Closed
  • Gas stations: Open
  • Embassy Cinema: Open
  • Parking: Free
