Osteria Posto Opening in Waltham

The Alpine Restaurant Group is giving it a go in the burgeoning Metrowest dining scene as they launch the high-end, yet casual Osteria Posto in Waltham today for dinner with lunch service to follow next month.

Osteria Posto, which opens officially on Monday, Nov. 30, at 5 p.m., focuses its menu on classic dishes with a modern spin, featuring seasonal ingredients, homemade pasta and high quality meats.

Cassinelli and team are the driving forces behind a number of successful ventures in and around Boston including the Painted Burro, Rosebud American Kitchen, Posto, and Posto Mobile, and are eager to launch what will be their flagship venture of the Posto brand.

Located in the heart of Waltham’s technology hub in the area’s largest development project, the 7,000 square foot Osteria Posto is described as a sleek and sophisticated dining destination for the business crowd and foodies alike.

The LEED certified and sustainable space sources ingredients from local purveyors and includes a raised bed garden designed by Green City Growers that will produce edible plants this spring. The 300-seat restaurant features a 22-seat full bar, three-season patio dining with panoramic views, and flexible private function area with full audio/visual capabilities perfect for events, presentations, meetings, or private dining.

For the menus, Cassinelli pairs years of experience in some of Boston’s finest kitchens to deliver a concept that channels traditional fare and serves it with style. Osteria Posto’s lunch menu will cater to local and corporate crowds with an extensive selection of simple, yet flavorful dishes including crisp salads, shareable appetizers, creative sandwiches, homemade pasta, and savory entrees.

For dinner, Osteria Posto satisfies satiable appetites with an elevated menu that features small bites and salads with big flavor, rich charcuterie and cheese selections, fresh pesce crudo, hearty entrees, homemade pasta, and the finest cuts of meat and seafood. The centrally-located bar at Osteria Posto boasts robust and flavorful craft cocktail, wine, and craft beer programs.
