PFC John M. Sullivan Post Auxiliary 10334 raising funds
Thru November 30, VFW Auxiliary 10334 raises funds to assist the Post and the Community taking care of Vets, Military, and Families

Happy Veterans Day 2020!
The Auxiliary to PFC John M. Sullivan Post 10334 thanks all Veterans for their service to our Country. Our mission includes taking care of Veterans, Active Duty Military, and their Families including Survivor Families, Families of the Deployed, ad Families of Military Related Suicide; as needed.
In November - Military Caregivers Month and Veterans Appreciation Month - we do an annual Buddy Poppy drive. This year, in addition, Sister Sally Collura is doing a donation drive for the Cprl. RLC Canteen Fund (which is earmarked for canteen funds for Veterans living at the Bedford VA Hospital) And, Sister Kelly Durkee-Erwin is heading up a Scratch Ticket raffle fundraiser. The winner will receive $750 in $5 scratch tickets for just $10 per ticket! If you can not donate, please share this request with family, friends, or coworkers - any assistance would be very appreciated.

Buddy Poppy: Due to COVID19 guidelines, we can not host a traditional Buddy Poppy Drive this year. According to Auxiliary 10334 President Carole Melone, VFW By-laws states that "the proceeds from Poppy distributions are used to benefit disabled and needy veterans, the widows and orphans of deceased veterans, and the VFW National Home for Children."

We are asking for a small donation to complete our mission. We are blessed to be in the great City of Waltham where citizens, visitors, and especially our local businesses take care of our Veterans.
The Buddy Poppy is the official flower for the VFW, a well-known symbol of the sacrifices made by our veterans. βThank you to everyone for donating to the Buddy Poppy program in honor of the memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice,β Buddy Poppy Chair Mary Anne Durkee (Gold Star daughter, Blue Star mother, and the daughter and mother of Purple Heart recipients.) Donations may be mailed to: VFW Auxiliary 10334, 623 Trapelo Road, Waltham MA 02452. Please put Buddy Poppy in the memo section, and make checks payable to VFW Aux 10334. We are so thankful!

Your donations are used to purchase coupon booklets that are distributed in holidays throughout the year to residents of the Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans Home in Bedford, Massachusetts. Our Post and Auxiliary have hosted a monthly dance for patients at the Bedford VA for over 40+ years - with the wonderful Soft Touch Band who always volunteers their time!
