Quincy Establishments Close After Positive Coronavirus Tests
Three Quincy bars or restaurants had employees test positive within the past week.
QUINCY, MA β An employee at Malachy's in Quincy who tested positive for the coronavirus made the establishment the third in the city in the past week to close due to have employees testing positive for the virus.
Manet Lunch and The Hofbrau have also had employees test positive in the past week.
The Quincy Health Department is conducting contact tracing and asking anyone who may have been at the place inside or outside from July 21 to to July 23 to call the department at 617-376-1286. Malachy's is expected to remain closed until Aug. 6.

The employee was last at Malachy's July 21 from 2 to 10 p.m., July 22 before 3 p.m. and July 23 before 11:30 a.m.
The Quincy Board of Health said a bartender tested positive at Manet Lunch this week and worked at four separate occasions during what would be considered the infectious period. Those times were: July 11 from 5 p.m. to 1 p.m., July 12 from noon to 5 p.m., July 18 from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and July 19 from noon to 5 p.m.

The Hofbrau announced it was closing for two weeks after posting "I'm sure you have heard some of our staff has (tested) positive." The post said the bar was professionally cleaned and those concerned are asked to contact the Quincy Health Department.
