"The purpose of the Waltham Riverfest is to celebrate the arts, community and culture of Downtown Waltham and its historic Charles River," according to the event's Facebook group.

Each year, hundreds of residents and visitors show up to walk, stroll and listen to music along the river. Charles River Kayak and Canoe usually host discounted rentals, and the Waltham Land Trust offers a special river walk.
