See How Waltham Restaurants Fared in Health Inspections

The Waltham Health Department recently inspected several restaurants.

Waltham city inspectors recently conducted a round ofΒ healthΒ inspections at restaurants.Β 

TheΒ reports are public record and if inspectors find issues, they follow up with future re-inspections to assure the issue is resolved. If the Board of Health finds repeated problems, it can call them for a hearing with the board.

Fulcinitis, 121 Hammond St.: During an Oct. 15 inspection, inspectors ordered a missing ceiling air vent cover over a sink be replaced.

Five Guys Burgers & Fries, 1030 Main St.: No issues found during the restaurants inspection prior to their official opening.Β

Karibou Restaurant, 10 Crescent St.: During an Oct. 15 inspection, inspectors ordered a fryolator to be cleaned.

Steve’s Pizza, 1250 Main St.: No issues found during an Oct. 16 inspection.

Mulan Restaurant, 835 Main St.: During an Oct. 10 inspection, inspectors ordered workers to not prepare food, specifically split peas, in the dining area. They also ordered food in a refrigerator be covered and to repair a stairway to prevent workers from tripping. A re-inspection on Oct. 18 found no issues.

Absolutely Asia, 864 Main St.: During an Oct. 10 inspection, inspectors ordered workers to clean a floor under a fryolator as well as the hood of a grill and a light fixture. They also ordered food in a condiment refrigerator to be covered. An Oct. 18 re-inspection found no issues.

Subway, 869 Main St.: No issues found during an Oct. 10 inspection.

Friendly’s Ice Cream, 1111 Lexington St.: During an Oct. 10 inspection, inspectors ordered ceiling tiles in a storage area to be fixed. They also ordered a sign be placed above a sink to indicate it was meant only for hand washing.

Panera Bread, 1100 Lexington St.: During an Oct. 10 inspection, inspectors ordered a hand wash sink to be cleaned and for adjacent condiment trays to be cleaned. They also ordered the temperature of the hand wash water to be adjusted. An Oc. 16 re-inspection found no issues.

Asia Wok, 573 Main St.: During an Oct. 1 inspection, inspectors ordered food to be stored in sanitary conditions and for it to be covered. They also ordered a fan be cleaned and to exterminate existing flies. Β No issues were found during an Oct. 9 re-inspection.

Waltham Sports Pub, 619 Main St.: No issues found during an Oct. 28 inspection.Β
