Snow In Waltham: No School Thursday, Parking Ban, What To Know
We have all the details on what you need to know to weather the storm Wednesday into Thursday.

WALTHAM, MA βThe National Weather Service updated its winter storm advisory and snow totals for the region, including Waltham. By the time you wake up there could be as much as 12 inches on the ground, according to the weather service.
That's right, the National Weather Service is predicting betwen 8 inches and a foot will land in the city overnight and is predicting it will continue snowing til about 1 p.m. Thursday.
It took a while but Waltham Public Schools announced Thursday morning schools were scheduled to be closed Thursday.

The city has declared a snow emergency.
A snow emergency and parking ban will begin Wednesday night at 6 p.m. and be in effect for all streets, city hall announced until 11 a.m. Thursday. This means no one is permitted to park on the street during the ban. Cars can park in municipal and school lots.
Generally, the Public Works Director will call a βsnow emergencyβ when excessive amounts of snow are predicted. All vehicles are required to be removed from all roadways to allow for a better clearing job. All vehicles left on the road are subject to tow.
