Waltham Bicyclists, Join the Charles River History Ride

Pedal down to the Charles this Saturday for a 12-mile historic tour.

WALTHAM, MA – Bicycling isn't the first thing that comes to mind when someone says "history," but the two worlds will come together this weekend for the Charles River History Ride.

Pedal down to the Charles on Saturday for a 12-mile jaunt through bicycle-related historic sites in communities along the river.

Hosted by Larry Finison, author of "Boston's Bicycle Craze, 1880 - 1900," the tour takes cyclists to areas along the Charles where bicycles were built, where bicyclists would stop and picnic by the hundreds and to Waltham's former bicycle race track.
