Waltham High School Thanksgiving Football Game: Hawks Vs Lancers
There's a football game happening at Leary Field in Waltham Thursday. Bundle up and go support the Hawks.

WALTHAM, MAβ Yes, it's going to be cold. But the Hawks will still be out there at Leary Field bringing it for Thanksgiving. The Waltham High football team will take on relatively new rivals Malden Catholic for the final Thanksgiving this season.
Although the Hawks are slated to face off against Arlington, one of its oldest and closest rivals next season with a new Thanksgiving Day football series. That's next year.
This year, the game against Malden Catholic goes on.

Waltham Football's Steven LaForest said the seniors are especially ready for this game.
"For many of our seniors this will be the last time they put the pads on and play with teammates who they have played with since Pop Warner," he told Patch.

So bundle up find a thermos of Hot Chocolate (or coffee) and head out to cheer the team on at 10 a.m.
Last year Malden Catholic won the away, non-conference, game with a score of 16-10.
