Waltham To Host Outdoor Flu Shot Clinics For Seniors
The cost of vaccinations will be covered by the patient's Medicare plan or private insurance provider, organizers said.
WALTHAM, MA β Later this month, Waltham's Council for Aging will host several outdoor vaccination clinics for senior adult residents.
The clinics will be held outdoors in the parking lot of Waltham's senior center. Attendees are asked to wear masks and stay in their cars.
Marybeth Duffy, council on aging director, said attendees must bring a Medicare card or other insurance card to have the cost of the vaccination covered by insurance.

Duffy told Patch by phone that, while flu shots are important every year, they're imperative during the coronavirus pandemic to help those who could be at a greater risk from the two viruses.
Appointments are necessary to obtain a flu shot during the clinics and can be made by calling 781-314-3499. Duffy said time slots will be given to Waltham residents first, then to non-residents in need of shots.
