Waltham Program Offers Help With Rent, Security Deposits

WALTHAM, MA — A grant that can be used to fund to two rent payments, or a security deposit and one rent payment, is available to qualifying residents in Waltham.

The program, Funded through the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, offers funds to eligible Waltham residents who are unable to make a security deposit or rent payments.

Applications for the program can be submitted online through the City of Waltham's website.

According to the website, the funding is provided by a grant that does not have to be repaid. When a lease ends, funding money used to pay a security deposit will also be returned to tenants as well.
