Waltham Resident Honored
Stephen Dacey was named the 2020 Ryken Award winner by Xaverian Brothers High School.

Mr. Stephen Dacey, a Waltham resident, was recently named the 2020 Ryken Award winner by Xaverian Brothers High School (Westwood). This award is bestowed annually as part of the schoolβs Founderβs Day celebration. It is the highest honor given to an adult member of the Xaverian community, and it signifies an exceptional dedication to Xaverian mission and values.

Mr. Dacey holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from Stonehill College and a Master of Education from BC (2008). As a Xaverian alumnus himself, he has worked at the grade 7-12 all-boys school in Westwood, MA, since 2003. In that time, he has served as a teacher, coach, department chair, and in two roles within the administration. He is presently the Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning, as well as a seventh grade science teacher.
βNo matter the request, Mr. Dacey always says βyesβ for the benefit of our school and our students,β says Dr. Jacob Conca β94, Ph.D., Head of School (Medway). βHe demonstrates a particular zeal for Xaverian education and has an unfailingly upbeat attitude. It was with tremendous pride, a deep sense of gratitude, and genuine appreciation, that we presented Mr. Dacey with the 2020 Ryken Award. He certainly deserves the honor, and we are grateful to have him in our community.β
