WALTHAM, MA β Waltham Public Schools have called it. Happy snow day No 2 for the week, students and teachers. No matter how you take that news, here's some good news: Most folks had power as of 3 p.m. According to Eversource only four customers were without power. Compare that with the rest of the state, and Waltham is doing pretty well.
The governor and state and local officials are telling residents if you don't have to drive, don't as the roads are slick and crews are out working to get them clear. And that's true in Waltham all day.
Waltham Dispatchers tweeted out that the CPW had about 60 pieces of equipment out. And this reporter saw mostly plows, buses and emergency responder vehicles on the road.

The snow is wet. A driver on the road had to turn into a couple skids. Drive slow. The T is running Saturday schedules, the commuter rail is running extremely reduced schedules. Logan flights are cancelled. Most schools are cancelled, including Waltham.
