The closure comes amid a surge in cases across the country and as officials are warning of an uptick in Massachusetts. As of Sunday 1,261 people in Waltham had tested positive for the virus. Of those, 78 people had died, according to city data.

Connors had opened in late June with restrictions to keep the crowds down as part of Phase 2 of the state's reopening plan.
