Waltham's Post Road Tavern To Close

The last night to grab a pint here is Friday.

WALTHAM, MA β€” Nick over at the Post Road Tavern took to Instagram this week to clear up rumors that the restaurant is closing up shop.

"Hearing a lot of rumors going around that we're closing," he said. "Uh, They're true. They are true."

He said he got an opportunity to open a Shoppers in Manchester N.H., and the plan is to head there.

"It's really bittersweet for us. We love this place we know you guys love this place, we appreciate everything you guys have done for us over the years.

Before it the Post Road Tavern in late 2017, it was the Pub on Main, which was run by Joey La Cava, who also owns Shoppers Cafe on Moody Street.

The Post Road Tavern is known for its wings, it's drinks and its truffle fries, among other things.

It's unclear what will become of the space at 619 Main Street.
