Waltham's Top 5 Fastest Men And Women: Boston 2019 Results

WALTHAM, MA — This year some 45 Waltham residents signed up ran the 26.2 miles of the Boston Marathon. But how'd they do in this crazy weather? They're all heroes in our book, but the top finishers deserve a little extra recognition.

Prescott Leach, 36, gets distinction of being Waltham's fastest Boston Marathoner for 2019. He ran the race in 2:28:50. That's a pace of about 5:41 per mile. For 26.2 miles. Just let that soak in a bit.

The fastest lady was Chloe Shiff, 19, with a time of 3:28:32. Her pace per mile was 7:58. Again - let that sink in she ran that fast for 26.2 miles.

1. Chloe Shiff - 3:28:32 - 2,022th for gender group, 8,811 overall.
2. Brianna Wiley - 3:39:38
3. Amy Nash - 3:46:39 *
4. Emily Slager - 3:49:30 *
5. Rebecca Toutant - 3:52:43

Fun fact? Nash and Slager made the fastest Waltham list last year, too. Slager beat her time from last year.
