Waltham's Top 5 Fastest Men And Women: Boston Marathon Results

WALTHAM, MA — Some 62 Waltham residents were signed up to run the Boston Marathon this year along with 30,000 others. But how'd they do in this crazy weather? They're all heroes in our book, but the top finishers deserve a little extra recognition.

Tomas Blanco, 44, gets distinction of being Waltham's fastest Boston Marathoner for 2018. He ran the soppy race in 2:56:19. That's a pace of about 6:44 per mile. For 26.2 miles.

The fastest lady was Amy Nash (also 44 years old) with a time of 3:37:11. Her pace per mile was 8:18. Again - in the rain, in the sleet, for 26.2 miles.

Fun fact? The top five men to finish Boston from Waltham were all in their 40s.
