Watertown's Julia Doucett Runs Road Race for Brain Injury Awareness

The prospective physical therapist was inspired to run in Falmouth Sunday by the survivors she works with daily.

WATERTOWN, MA – Watertown resident Julia Doucett ran in the 2016 New Balance Falmouth Road Race Sunday as part of the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts team.

Doucett was one of nine team members to run in support of brain injury awareness; the prospective physical therapist said she was inspired to run by the survivors she works with daily, who persevere against all obstacles.

Doucett finished the race with a 10K time of 1:02:10 and a 5K of 29:52.

According to the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts' fundraising page, the team raised $16,378 - surpassing its goal of $9,000.
