Weather Alert: Waltham Public Schools Delayed Monday
Due to overnight snowfall, public schools in the district will open two hours late.
WALTHAM, MA - All public schools in Waltham will be delayed two hours and morning preschool has been canceled Monday due to overnight snowfall.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch over the weekend for northeastern Massachusetts; snow was expected to fall from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and continue overnight into Monday morning.
Some areas were likely to see four to seven inches, forecasters said.
Delays are for the following schools:
- Fitzgerald Elementary
- MacArthur Elementary
- Northeast Elementary
- Plympton Elementary
- Stanley Elementary
- Whittemore Elementary
- Kennedy Middle School
- McDevitt Middle School
- Waltham High School
