What's Open, Closed On Christmas Day, Eve In Waltham 2019

WALTHAM, MA — Tis the season! Wednesday is Christmas this year, and that means a number of businesses will be closed in observance. There will be a few open on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But what's what? Here's a quick guide.

• City offices: Closed
• Schools: Closed
• Libraries: Closed
• Post Office: Closed
• Banks: Closed
• Gas Stations: Open
• Parking: Free

Here's where it gets tricky. Many restaurants, retail stores, and grocery stores will be closed, but not all. Here are some details on a few to get you started:

Retail stores:

• CVS
  • Christmas Eve: Most stores open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: Most stores open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (excludes stores inside Target).

Supermarkets:

• Shaw's/Star Market
  • Christmas Eve: Most stores typically close a few hours early
  • Christmas Day: Closed
• Trader Joe's
  • Christmas Eve: All stores close at 6 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: Closed
• Whole Foods
  • Christmas Eve: All stores will have limited hours. Hours vary by location.
  • Christmas Day: Closed.
• Market Basket:
  • Christmas Eve: Stores close at 5 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: Closed
• Hannaford
  • Christmas Eve: 7 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: All stores are closed.
• Brothers Marketplace
  
  • Christmas Eve: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: Closed

Liquor Stores (all are closed on Christmas Day)

  • Christmas Eve: 8- 10 p.m.

  • Christmas Eve: Close "probably" at 8 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: Closed

  • Christmas Eve: Regular 9 a.m. 10 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: Closed.

Restaurants:

• Ruth's Chris Steak House - Waltham: Open til 9 p.m. Christmas Eve and Christmas: 12-8 p.m.
• Feng Shui Kitchen: Normal hours both days 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Mu Lan Taiwanese Restaurant: Normal hours both days 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
• Taqueria Mexico: Closed both days.
• Margaritas: Open On Christmas even until 6 p.m. Closed Christmas Day
• In a Pickle: Open Christmas Eve 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m Closed Christmas Day.
• The Chateau: On Christmas Eve they close at 5:30 p.m. Closed Christmas Day
• Brelundi: Close at 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Day
• Moody's Deli and Backroom: Deli closes at 4 p.m. the Backroom closes at 8 p.m. Christmas Eve. Both are closed on Christmas.
