83-Year-Old Westborough Man Accused Of Strangling Wife: DA

The man was arraigned in the hospital on charges related to the death of his wife.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — An 83-year-old Westborough man was arraigned on Friday on charges related to the death of his wife, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.

Abdal Rindani was charged with attempted murder and strangulation.

On March 6, police responded to the Park Village Apartments and found 76-year-old Saharbanoo Rindani dead. Her husband, Abdal Rindani, was also found in the apartment and taken to the hospital.

Saharbanoo's cause of death has not been determined yet.

Rindani has to undergo a competency evaluation at Bridgewater State Hospital. The case is due back in court on April 20.

A murder investigation is still underway by State Police Detectives and Westborough Police.
