Town Of Westborough: Congratulations To The June 2021 Employee Excellence Award Winner Cliff Rose!

The Employee Excellence Award committee is pleased to present this award to Cliff Rose in the Town Library. 

Cliff has been described as exceptional in his care of the Library.  A veteran who “..takes pride in his work and…goes above and beyond his job description to help make the library run smoothly and safely and is always concerned about how the public thinks about the building and grounds.”  Beyond his concentrated efforts to keep the library in good repair and looking great, he seeks ways to save money with extra efforts such as personally cleaning all library carpets as opposed to hiring contractors at considerable expense, as the library always had in the past.  Always upbeat, friendly and open, he finds ways to be of help wherever it is needed such as lending a hand to the Friends of the Library group with their special book donation event which took place on a Saturday (Cliff’s normal ‘weekend day off’) where he emptied book drops and cleaned up the site by removing signs, barriers and Covid tape and returning things back to normal for the next business day.  His coworkers praise his effort to always go the extra mile and are fortunate to have him on the team.
