The Westborough Education Foundation said it is planning for a fun-filled event that will challenge teams to bring forth their best and brightest to compete in the contest. The Bee features questions about New England sports, popular culture, government, science, the arts, literature and Westborough history. It also includes kids’ activities, silent auction items, raffles, food and music. Back again this year, the award winning Westborough High School (and WEF grant recipients) will be demonstrating their robots.
The Trivia Bee is the Westborough Education Foundation’s largest single fundraiser, with more than 400 attending last year.

A $5 donation per person ($20 family cap) which includes pizza, drink and dessert is accepted at the door that evening. The 2017 event raised more than $17,000 to support educational grants to teachers and administrators from across all six of Westborough's public schools. The grants allow teachers to develop creative programs in literature and language, the arts, technology, social studies, science and math. Grants totaling more than $23,000 were awarded in 2018 for creative and innovative programs and events.
