The Town of Westborough Department of Public Works seeks applicants for the full-time position of Assistant Town Engineer. This position performs professional work in the role of Senior Civil Engineer and acts in the capacity of the Project Engineer for projects which may include the following: roadway reconstruction, highway, drainage, sewer and water projects, stormwater management, site design and traffic studies and analysis. Exercises independent judgment with complete responsibility for planning and carrying out assigned projects; oversees the division in the absence of the Town Engineer. Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of work experience in the design of and/or construction of public works projects, preferably in the municipal field. Registration as a Massachusetts Professional Civil Engineer or Massachusetts Professional Land Surveyor required. Experience with GIS and/or CAD software preferred. Must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license. Salary range of $69,264 - $93,496/year DOQ.
