The Town of Westborough Department of Public Works is seeking applications from qualified, team-oriented individuals for the full time position of Assistant Town Engineer. Performs professional work in the role of Senior Civil Engineer and acts in the capacity of the Project Engineer for projects placed under the direction of the Town Engineer which may include the following: roadway reconstruction, highway, drainage, sewer and water projects, stormwater management, site design and traffic studies and analysis. Exercises independent judgment with complete responsibility for planning and carrying out assigned projects; oversees the division in the absence of the Town Engineer. Applicants shall possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four (4) year college and at least five (5) years of work experience in the design of and/or construction of public works projects, preferably in the municipal field. Registration as a Massachusetts Professional Civil Engineer or Massachusetts Professional Land Surveyor required. Experience with GIS and/or CAD software preferred. Must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license. This is a non-union position, S-6, with a salary range of $69,264 - $93,496/year DOQ.
