Car Crashes Through Peoples United Bank In Westborough

No injuries were reported, according to police.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A car crashed through the windows of the Peoples United Bank on Lyman Street in Westborough on Thursday morning.

Westborough police said no injuries were reported. Westborough Fire Chief Patrick Purcell told WHDH Boston that the driver told him they accidentally hit the building.

The blue sedan crashed into the waiting area of the bank, right near the stands where customers fill out deposit and withdrawal slips. The crash happened before 8:30 a.m. The bank's hours online say the branch does not open until 9 a.m. No word on whether anyone was inside the bank during the crash.
