Civic Kitchen And Drink Featured On Phantom Gourmet

Did you miss it? The Civic was featured last month on The Phantom Gourmet. The purple one liked it.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—Everyone likes breakfast for dinner once in a while (or after a night of drinking), and Civic Kitchen & Drink in Westborough has an app of bacon and eggs to die for, according to the Phantom Gourmet.

The Phantom visited Civic recently, interviewing the owner and the chef, and salivating over its menu and beer list.

"You may have heard the term farm to table but what about farm to fairway?" said host Dan Andelman in the feature. "Inside this renovated Westborough home, Civic Kitchen brings made from scratch food to scratch golfers and the general public."

"We're looking to create a neighborhood restaurant/bar where the whole community comes together," said owner Tom Oliveri, who has more than 20 years in the business and comes from a family of restauranteurs. "The name civic comes from civc center, gathering spot for the community. It's like sitting in your dining room and having dinner."

Oliveri has proven success in the greater Worcester and MetroWest Boston area. He owns Prezo in Milford and Peppercorn’s in Worcester, longtime Italian hot spots that feature sturdy menus, affordable prices, excellent wine and beer lists, and friendly service. Oliveri also founded Wormtown Brewery in Worcester.
HIs parents, Tom Sr. and Elsa, as well as his brother, Jon, are well-known restauranteurs in the area. Jon owns Oli’s Italian Eatery in West Boylston.
