Julia is widely known by employees and throughout the Town as the “…friendly and helpful face (‘the heart’) Youth and Family Services.”
An expert referral for local community resources, she addresses resident’s questions and needs with warmth and understanding. She is often the “go-to” referral resource for many Town departments. Julia is regularly lauded by members in the community for her compassion and sensitivity.

Her willingness to extend herself beyond the scope of her job has been a lifeline to connecting families in need with essential resources during the Covid pandemic in particular.
For many years now, she has been responsible for bringing joy and hope to children and families through her dedication to the Free Holiday Store which includes her constantly and selflessly going out of her way to obtain “gifts” of special need that may not be stocked in the Holiday Store. Thanks in large part to Julia’s clever efforts, YFS has been able to effectively serve Westborough during the ‘Covid holiday season’ as well as expanding their giving programs to include Thanksgiving food baskets and gift cards to YFS clients. Her caring and creative nature was displayed during quarantine in a Westborough TV Thanksgiving production featuring a town-wide slideshow of pictures and messages of thanks and hope shared by the community. In her continuing efforts to better understand and communicate with residents for whom English is not their primary language, “…Julia has become expert at utilizing the telephonic language interpretation system…” Julia “…approaches every individual with kindness and without judgment and works to find ways to meet their needs”. She is truly a quintessential outreach ambassador for the Town of Westborough and from every indication, our townsfolk would agree!
