Fire Destroys Westborough Home, Dog Credited With Rescue
No one was injured in the Glen Street fire during the overnight hours.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — A fire devastated a Westborough home overnight Thursday, but no one was injured during the blaze — and firefighters are crediting the family dog with helping.
The fire broke out at a home along Glen Street and grew to two alarms before firefighters got it under control.
Westborough fire told Boston 25 the family dog alerted the residents of the home even before smoke detectors went off.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation early Friday morning.
