GoFundMe Campaign: Help Build The BORO Sugar Shack
The Sugar Shack is new program to help students with special abilities, aged 18-22, gain real-world job skills right in their home community

WESTBOROUGH, MA—The BORO Sugar Shack Planning Committee just launched a GoFundMe page to support the Westborough Public Schools’ new program to help students with special abilities, aged 18-22, gain real-world job skills right in their home community, the public schools announced.
After a whole lot of planning, in the fall of 2017, the Westborough Public Schools opened its new post-high school transition program, the BORO (Bridging Over to Right Opportunities). Now that the BORO is in full-swing, the Planning Committee is seeking the community’s financial support to help bring the final stage of the project, the BORO Sugar Shack, to life.
The BORO Sugar Shack, a candy and gift store, will be an on-site learning lab and training center for students to learn job-related skills in a real business setting. The Sugar Shack is located in the heart of downtown Westborough, allowing the entire community to participate in -- and enjoy -- this unique retail experience. The Planning Committee needs financial donations to help set up the store, including buying the first batch of products to sell.
