High Winds Wreak Havoc In Westborough
High winds brought down a power line on church street and a tree on South street, damaging a car.

WESTBOROUGH, MA- Fire crews shut down Church Street in Westborough after a power line was brought down by the high winds.
Earlier on Monday morning, winds knocked a tree down onto a car on South Street, shattering the windshield. Fire crews said two people were evaluated by paramedics and no injuries were reported.
Wind speeds ranging from 46 mph to nearly 60 mph have been reported across the state this morning. The National Weather Service says the strongest winds are expected this afternoon.

Westborough was luckier than most towns in the state, with 27 outages reported as of 8 p.m. according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. Over 65,000 outages were reported across the state.
