I-495 Down To 2 Lanes After Four Car Crash in Westborough

Massachusetts State Police said four cars were involved including a tractor-trailer and a box truck and two people were injured.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A four car crash involving a tractor-trailer and a box truck caused a backup on I-495 South in Westborough, Thursday afternoon. The crash occurred just before the Massachusetts Turnpike Exit 22.

Massachusetts State Police said the crash was called in at 3:25 and caused a six mile backup. Two of the drivers, including the driver of the tractor-trailer, were taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center to be treated for injuries, according to state police.

The driver of the box truck was given a citation for speeding, following too closely and a marked lanes switch.
