Laborer - Westborough Department of Public Works

The Town of Westborough Department of Public Works is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the full-time position of Laborer. The primary duties of this position are with the Town’s Cemetery Division. Significant responsibilities include grass mowing and trimming, leaf pickup, seeding, monument repair, marker installation, snow plowing and removal, and excavation. Other duties may include general maintenance and repair, pipe laying, road patching, storm drain cleaning, or any other public works maintenance. Work is primarily performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Ability to use hand tools, operate power equipment, and drive a snow plow truck strongly desired. Applicants shall possess a High school diploma or equivalent; one to two years of experience in public works and/or construction and maintenance activities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and must obtain a CDL within one year of hire.
