Latest Westborough Weather Forecast: Storm To Drop 8-14 Inches

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A winter storm will barrel through Westborough Thursday, bringing 8-14 inches of snow, 45 mph wind gusts wind chill values as low as -7.

A winter storm warning is in effect through Thursday night. The snow is expected to start Thursday around 7 a.m. and quickly intensify before noon. Heavy snow will continue through the evening commute. Icing is likely on roads and temperatures will plummet to near zero at night.

This is the National Weather Service winter storm warning in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday:

• LOCATIONS...Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
• HAZARD TYPES...Heavy snow.
• Accumulations...Snow accumulation of 8 to 14 inches.
• Timing...Snow will begin between 5 and 8 am Thursday morning. Snow will then fall heavy at times through Thursday afternoon before tapering off to snow showers early Thursday evening.
• Impacts...Hazardous travel due to snow covered roads and poor visibilities. Snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour will be possible at times along with some blowing and drifting snow.
• Winds...North 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
