MassWildlife To Host Family-Friendly Open House

Meet turtles, snakes, owls and more. Also, meet working dogs, shoot bb guns and enjoy interactive displays.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—It's hands-on wildlife, as the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (better known as MassWildlife) is planning an open house that includes live animals, interactive displays and activities for all ages. More than 1,000 people attended last year's event, and more are expected this year.

The open house, which is free, takes place on Saturday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at MassWildlife Headquarters, 1 Rabbit Hill Road in Westborough.

Here is some of what's included in the event:
-Archery
-Live turtles, snakes, fish, owls, and hawks
-Working dog demonstrations
-BB Gun target shooting
-MassWildlife Field Headquarters is the first zero net energy office building in Massachusetts with indoor trout pond
-Interactive displays on fish and wildlife, habitat management, endangered species conservation
-Kids' crafts and scavenger hunt
-MassWildlife vehicle display, including an airboat and trout stocking truck
