Paul Dempsey, Attended St. John's Seminary, Dies at 89

Paul F. Dempsey, 89, of Westborough passed away at home September 24, 2015. Son of predeceased William Dempsey and Barbara (Walsh), husband of Jacqueline (Tarr) and the late Patricia (Bowen), beloved father to Barbara Dempsey of Westborough and Paula Roth and her husband Martin of Ashland, loving grandfather to Steven Roth of Arlington, VA and Julia Roth of Blacksburg, VA, brother to William Dempsey of Malden, James Dempsey and his wife Claire of Scarborough, ME, Barbara Burke of Woburn, Ann McDermott and her husband John of Dennis.

He was predeceased by his sister Joan Reimer of Cincinnati, OH, Sr. Mary Dempsey of South Bend, IN, Thomas Dempsey, and John Dempsey of Winchester. He leaves in-laws Sarah Cavanaugh of Wakefield, Robert Reimer of Bridgewater, NJ, Joyce Starner of Winter Springs, FL and John Custis of Orlando, FL as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dempsey attended St John’s Seminary and is a graduate of Boston College HS, Boston College and Suffolk University School of Law.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough on Saturday, Oct 3, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. A calling hour will be held at the church starting at 9:00 A.M. prior to the Mass. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Luke the Evangelist Church Memorial Fund, 70 W. Main St, Westborough, MA 01581. Funeral arrangements are under the care of David A.
