PHOTOS: MetroWest Residents Show Off Spooky Pumpkin Decor

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Halloween looks different this year but the festivities aren't going anywhere. Families across the MetroWest are following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's tips and moving the small festivities like carving and decorating pumpkins to their homes.

Patch asked readers to submit photos of their pumpkin decor, and we received submissions from all over the MetroWest. There's no shortage of creativity in the pumpkin decorations, from COVID-19 themed outdoor displays to carefully carved jack-o-lanterns.

Westborough

A clever COVID-19 themed display sits on the patio of this Windsor Ridge apartment in Westborough. The artist said she prefers to carve the pumpkins a bit later in the season, so the best is yet to come!

Shrewsbury

A pumpkin carver in Shrewsbury said after she finished her pumpkin's face and turned around to dump the excess, her kids added a useful accessory! Behold, the masked pumpkin!

Some grandparents in Shrewsbury pulled out all the festive stops for movie night with their grandchildren and decorated the yard in the holiday spirit:
