Two Westborough Schools Listed In Top 100 MA Schools For 2020

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Two Westborough schools made it onto the list of the top 100 schools in Massachusetts. Niche.com released the list that includes both private and public elementary, middle and high schools. Westborough High and Sarah W. Gibbons Middle School both made it onto Niche's list.

Whether a school finished first or 100th, there's not really a bad spot on the list. They all received A+ grades from Niche.

Westborough High School ranked 59th on the list. It has 1,049 students in grades 9-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. According to state test scores, 95 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 99 percent in reading. Westborough high has a graduation rate of 99 percent and an average SAT score of 1300, according to Niche.

Niche also highly rated the school in several categories including best public high schools in the state, best college prep public high schools in the state and best high schools for STEM in the state.

Sarah W. Gibbons Middle School ranked 94th on the list. It has 636 students in grades 7-8 with a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1. According to state test scores, 73 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 75 percent in reading.

Niche also highly rated the school in several categories including best public middle schools in the state, best public middle school teachers in the state and most diverse public middle schools in the state.
