Westboro Community Land Trust Offering Scholarships

WESTBOROUGH, MA- Its that time of year for high school seniors to hunt down scholarships. Westborough teens who are environmentally conscious have an opportunity through the Westborough Commnuity Land Trust Scholarships.

Two scholarships worth $1,000 each will be given to graduating seniors from the town who win an Earth Day Essay Contest. The contest closes on April 8. Students do not have to be planning an environmental emphasis in their future studies or career in order to be eligible for the scholarships.

Applicants can choose from three different essay prompts, each pertaining to the environment in Westborough. One prompt focuses on environmental issues, another on experiences and one on protection.

Students at Westborough High School can get details from the guidance office and students who attend a different school can find information online.
