Westborough Attic Catches Fire After Lightning Strike
Smoke was billowing from the roof of the home after it was struck by lightning.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — Severe weather on Sunday night was the blame for an attic fire in Westborough. The roof of a Westborough home was hit by lightning on Sunday night, forcing one resident to relocate.
Westborough fire crews were called to Blossom Court for a reported attic fire. Westborough fire officials said smoke was coming from the roof of the home — once crews got inside they found the fire in the attic. One hose line was used to put out the fire.
No one was injured but the person living in the home was displaced for the night.
