Westborough Break-In Suspect Bites Man Before Running: Police

The man broke into a Westborough apartment and bit one of the residents in the chest and thigh before running from the police.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A Worcester man was arrested in Westborough on Wednesday following a home break-in and faces several charges including armed burglary and assault and battery.

Police received a call about a break-in to an apartment on Homestead Boulevard. The woman who called in the break-in said a man in dark clothes broke into her home and was fighting with her adult son. The man bit the son's chest and thigh before the son fought him off and the man ran away, according to police. Officers arrived shortly after.

Westborough, Southborough, Hopkinton and Massachusetts State Police swept the apartment and area for the man but couldn't find him. An investigation revealed the man's identity and police learned that the homeowners knew the suspect.

Officers tracked him down and arrested him. He is facing charges of armed burglary, assault & battery, mayhem, wanton destruction of property and malicious destruction of property.
