The Westborough COVID-19 Community Fund was created through the recommendation of a Westborough task force whose purpose is to identify and respond to community needs related to the impact of COVID-19. The task force is comprised of representatives from the Board of Selectmen, Town Manager’s Office, the Westborough Food Pantry, the Westborough Fire Department/Emergency Management, Westborough Public Schools, Westborough Connects, Westborough Interfaith Clergy, The Rotary Club of Westborough and Westborough CARES, a collaboration of Westborough Youth and Family Services, the Westborough Senior Center, In Your Shoes, St. Luke’s Church Outreach and the Forbes-Kirkside Foundation.
“Westborough has a long history of giving and of supporting those in need. The creation of the task force, the resulting coordination efforts and the creation of the Community Fund are just a few examples of the spirit of Westborough and the generosity and kindness we have within our community. We are a diverse community, but we are one in our support of each other, especially in the face of difficult days past and ahead of us. The task force would like to extend a special thank you to the Westborough Rotary Fund Inc. for administering the fund. Thanks to their support and expertise we were able to establish this fund in a timely manner,” said Shelby Marshall, Westborough Selectman.
The Westborough COVID-19 Community Fund is administered by the Westborough Rotary Fund, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The full amount of your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Westborough Rotary Fund will not provide any goods or services, in whole or in part in consideration for your voluntary cash contribution.
