Westborough Coronavirus Cases Declined Last Week

Westborough was in the "yellow" zone in last week's report from the state.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Coronavirus cases in Westborough fell last week, according to state data, though the town remains in the state's "yellow" category for case numbers.

Westborough reported 50 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to April 17, compared to 67 cases the week before that. The average daily incidence rate was lower than the previous week's, decreasing to 19.1 from 25.6. The percent positivity decreased from 2.68 percent to 2.08 percent.

The state reported 48 communities were high-risk last week, down from 59 the week before.

Massachusetts reported 24,036 cases in the weeks leading up to April 17, with a daily incidence rate of 24.7 and a percent positivity of 2.3 percent.
