Westborough Coronavirus: Cases Rise To 34

Thirteen people have been removed from quarantine or isolation.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough reported 34 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in town, as of Tuesday. Of the 34 cases, 13 people have been removed from quarantine or isolation. The town reported seven other people who were presumed positive for the virus but were never tested — of those seven cases four have been removed from quarantine.

The majority of cases in Westborough have been in people over the age of 77, according to town data. Of the total cases, both confirmed and presumptive positive, ten people were hospitalized and 17 people recovered. One death was reported.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health on Tuesday announced 96 more deaths from the new coronavirus, bringing the state's death toll to 356. Th total number of cases in Massachusetts, as of Tuesday, is 15,202.
