Westborough Dog Adoption Ends In Stolen Dog Charges
A Newton woman was arrested and faces larceny charges after police said she walked away with a dog she was planning to adopt.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — A Newton woman is facing larceny charges after police said she met with a person in Westborough to adopt a dog and walked off with the dog without paying. The incident happened on Saturday at Owen O’Leary’s Restaurant on Connector Road.
Police were called by a person who said they were supposed to meet the woman, identified as Keriann Notartomaso, after she said she wanted to adopt a dog from them. Police said the caller told them after the woman got the dog she walked away without paying.
Officers found Notartomaso nearby with the dog and arrested her. The dog was given back to the caller.
