Westborough Hockey Rink Dedicated to Fallen Northborough Soldier
Funds were raised to erect a memorial to fallen officer Brian Arsenault from Northborough, who was killed in Afghanistan.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—Brian Arsenault spent much of his youth playing hockey at Northstar Ice Sports in Westborough, so it seemed fitting to family, friends and the community that his dedication memorial be placed there.
Spc. Brian K. Arsenault, 28, was killed from injuries he sustained during a unit attack in Ghazni in Afghanistan on Sept. 4, 2014. Arsenault, a Northborough native, was based in Fort Bragg, was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. Hundreds lined the streets to honor the soldier before he was laid to rest.
With a GoFundMe account bringing in nearly $12,000, the $35,000 needed to build a memorial was raised by donors.
