Westborough Ice and Animal Rescues Keep Coming
Westborough fire crews helped an injured goose that was frozen to a pond.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough fire crews have been busy between ice and animals rescues throughout the first month of 2021.
On Tuesday, fire rescue crews were called to Mill Pond where a goose was reported injured and frozen to the ice on the pond. Rescuers had to suit-up in their cold water equipment and take a raft out onto the water to help the goose.
Rescue crews helped people in Ashland retrieve their things from icy waters last week and in Late January crews pulled a deer from Lake Chauncey. A horse was also spotted tangled in a fence last week that was saved by Westborough first responders.
