The Town of Westborough Department of Public Works seeks applications from energetic, team-oriented individuals for the full-time position of Electrician. The position is responsible for all aspects of electrical work pertaining to public works operations. This position provides electrical repair and maintenance services at sewer pump stations and municipal buildings. Familiarity with pump station instrumentation, energized equipment up to 480 volts, relays, overload protection, level sensing equipment, generators, transfer switches, and removal and replacement of motors and pumps is necessary. Desired candidate will be a problem solver who offers innovative ideas, is a skilled troubleshooter, and is able to read schematics and line diagrams. Position participates in snow plowing operations. Applicants shall possess five to seven years of experience as an electrician or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a Massachusetts Electrical Journeymen’s license. A full job description may be obtained at the Town of Westborough Human Resources website.
